Former NCAA Player of the Year Continues Success at the Pro Level
AKRON, OHIO –Former NCAA softball Player of the Year Angela Tincher (Eagle Rock, VA) has been named to the All-National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) Team for the second consecutive year, the league has announced. The Virginia Tech graduate and current member of the Akron Racers was one of six Akron players to earn All-NFP honors.

BALTIMORE, MD – Former NCAA Softball Player of the Year, Virginia Tech graduate and API Sports client Angela Tincher (Eagle Rock, VA) has enjoyed a spectacular week on the mound for the Akron Racers, recording a six-inning perfect game in an 11-0 victory Saturday at Philadelphia and a complete-game 2-hitter Thursday in a 1-0 win against the USSSA Pride.

Two of College Softball’s Top All-Time Pitchers to Address Up-and-Coming Players
GLENDALE, AZ – Former University of Arizona star pitcher Taryne Mowatt and 2008 NCAA Player of the Year Angela Tincher will address the participants at the inaugural Arizona Fastpitch Showcase, to be held at Glendale’s Victory Lane Sports Park July 20-22. The event, presented by API Sports, Victory Lane Sports Park and K-4, will provide high school softball players entering grades 9, 10, 11 and 12 with an opportunity to be seen by coaches representing NCAA and junior college programs.

USA Softball Women's program teams named for 2009
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – The Amateur Softball Association of America (ASA) announced today the three teams that will represent USA Softball Women's National team program during the 2009 summer season, kicking off with the Canada Cup, July 4-12. The three teams were selected after a selection camp last week in Chula Vista, and the rosters will represent a new era of USA Softball as there are only eight returning players from the 2008 Olympic team.
